Privacy Notice

This notice explains how I, Akwasi Adu-Kyeremeh, handle personal information when you visit akwasi.dev, send an enquiry or subscribe to Akwasi.dev Market Notes. Questions can be sent to me@akwasi.dev.
Information collected
- Website analytics: information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device type, referral source and engagement information.
- Contact enquiries: the name, email address, optional phone number and message you submit through the contact form or by email.
- Newsletter subscriptions: your email address, consent status, signup source and subscription activity, including confirmation and unsubscribe records.
How the information is used
I use this information to understand and improve the website, respond to enquiries, operate the mailing list you requested, maintain consent and unsubscribe records, prevent misuse and meet applicable legal obligations. Newsletter details are not used for unrelated marketing without an appropriate basis.
Service providers
Google Analytics helps measure website use. EmailJS processes messages submitted through the contact form. Brevo processes mailing-list subscriptions, confirmation emails, delivery and unsubscribe requests. These providers may process information outside Ghana under their own security and privacy arrangements.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses Google Analytics, which may place or read identifiers in your browser to distinguish visits and produce aggregated usage reports. You can limit this through your browser settings or Google's available opt-out controls. Analytics reports are used privately; the site does not publish a visitor counter or intentionally build a raw IP-address log.
Newsletter consent
The online newsletter signup requires an affirmative consent choice. Brevo records and processes the subscription and can provide an additional email-confirmation step when that service is enabled. You can withdraw consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting me@akwasi.dev. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Retention and security
Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including maintaining necessary consent, suppression and legal records. Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may ask what personal information I hold about you, request correction or deletion where applicable, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw newsletter consent, or raise a privacy concern. Contact me@akwasi.dev so the request can be assessed and handled under applicable law.

This notice may be updated when the site's services or providers change. The latest version and its revision date will remain available on this page.
